Two IT executive roundtables take deep dive into security

Senior IT executives and CISOs in the Toronto area will have the opportunity to drill deeply into various important aspects of security during two private Master Series roundtables scheduled by The IT Media Group (ITMG), a Canadian leader in producing events for senior IT management.

Liu takes Hot Mommas Project global case writing award

Nasheen Liu, VP of Marketing & Vendor Relations for The IT Media Group, recently won a major category award in the 2012-2013 Global Case Study Competition, conducted by The Hot Mommas® Project (HMP), an award-winning social venture that pairs the world’s largest digital case study library of female role models with cutting-edge teaching tools.

Roundtable: A dozen CIOs from the GTA get real about Big Data

Despite following two days of the worst weather we’ve seen in Toronto this winter, a dozen IT executives from some of the top companies in the GTA showed up to participate in a roundtable discussion on The Economics of Big Data, hosted by The IT Media Group on Thursday, February 28th, 2013.

While Big Data is the subject of much hype, the session proved that it is real and there are companies today already leveraging Big Data technologies to address business challenges and uncover opportunities.


Executive roundtable to discuss business potential of location-based information

John Pickett, VP, Executive Programs for The IT Media Group, will co-host location intelligence solution provider DMTI Spatial's, January 29 Strategic Insight Session on Location Economics, which will be held at Jamie Kennedy at the Gardiner Museum in Toronto. He will share hosting duties with Asif Khan, President of The Location Based Marketing Association (LBMA) and John Fisher, Chairman and CEO of DMTI Spatial Inc.


HDS sponsors CIO roundtable

Hitachi Data Systems Canada has inked a deal with The IT Media Group, Toronto, for sponsorship of a CIO Master Series roundtable. Scheduled for February 28 in Toronto, the event will bring together a select group of CIOs to discuss strategies for successfully coping with the coming data tsunami and turning it into competitive advantage for their organization.

The conversation will range from getting the enterprise’s operational house in order, to taking maximum advantage of virtualization, to exploiting large data assets to drive business value. CIOs will also have the opportunity to brainstorm new ideas for coping with the gathering data wave.

The IT Media Group’s Masters Series roundtables give IT executives from various industries the opportunity to leverage the experience of true peers. Participants gain insights that help them improve operations, avoid pitfalls, discover new ideas and make decisions with greater confidence
